Prestwick is one of the oldest burghs in Ayrshire, but it took many years before it developed into the much-loved town it is today. This little book takes a fond look back at the burgh, which spreads out from the Cross towards the beach and south to Ayr at Prestwick Toll, and which is partially surrounded by the extensive airport. There are a variety of old pictures, many never published before, and a detailed description of the places depicted. Here we can find out more about the streets, shops and public buildings.
