Kilmarnock is one of Scotland’s most vibrant towns, with a rich industrial history and links with Robert Burns, the Covenanters and the Radicals. This little book takes a fond look back around the centre of the burgh, with many of the images showing places that are gone or have been redeveloped over the years. Each photograph is accompanied by a detailed description of the places depicted plus other general history. Not everything in the town has been lost, fortunately, and residents and exiles will recognise much of interest within, kindling various memories of the old town. I’m sure that you’ll enjoy this look back at Kilmarnock, and perhaps finding out something about the town that you weren’t aware of.
